Fahad Fazil was going through a dull period, but was catapulted back to stardom by the film Maheshinte Prathikaram directed by Dileesh Pothen. It turned to become a blockbuster movie and was critically acclaimed for its treatment and the simplicity in storytelling. Through this film Dileesh Pothen became an independent director, earlier he was known as an actor for small roles. Director Ashiq Abu has produced the film and the story was by Shyam Pushkaran.

The new film is made under the banner of Urvashi Theatres. Like last film Soubin Shahir and Alencier Ley will play important roles in this film too. Their characters were widely accepted in Maheshinte Prathikaram. Now latest reports confirmed that the movie will start rolling by December and will be shot in Kasargod district of Kerala.
